FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

I’ve never done calligraphy before. Which workshop should I attend?

All of my workshops are designed for complete beginners. If you don’t have a strong preference for a certain workshop, I would recommend a Brush Pen Calligraphy Workshop. Brush pens are more similar to our usual writing tools than dip pens so it’s a little quicker to pick up.

Do you have any discounts available?

Yes! If you buy two or more workshop tickets, you get 10% off your whole order! Get a couple friends together and sign them up. Use coupon code FRIENDS2019.

I have bad handwriting - can I still learn calligraphy?

Yes! Calligraphy is an art - just like painting or pottery. It’s a skill you learn, not something you’re born with. It just takes some practice and muscle memory!

I’ve tried calligraphy before and I’m not good at it. Can you help me?

Absolutely. Beginner kits and instructional videos are great, but nothing can replace in-person demonstration and instruction. I keep my class sizes small so that I can give each student individual help. Also, the supplies you use make an enormous difference, and many beginner kits don’t have good-quality supplies. I give my students the best supplies for beginners so you are set up for success!

What if I can’t make it to any of your workshop times?

If you would like to set up a private workshop for you and your friends, fill out this form! If you’d rather get a private calligraphy lesson, use this contact form to reach out.

Can my ticket be refunded or transferred?

If you are unable to attend a workshop you have paid for, please contact me (through the contact form or by replying to the confirmation email) as soon as possible. Tickets may be transferred to another person provided you inform me prior to the workshop. If you contact me more than 4 weeks prior to the workshop, you may change workshop dates with my permission. I only offer refunds in extraordinary circumstances at my discretion.
